Generic

The world and his wife are nw blabbing on excitedly about Peter Temple's recent success.


"Truth", has just won the Miles Franklin Award, which, apart from the fact that this is the first time that a piece of "genre" writing has been recognised in such illustruous circles, this is a reminder to re-read Ms Franklin's wonderful autobiography "My Brilliant Career".

I have thrown caution (and grammar) to the winds today and am off out to seize the day. There is one aspect of Australian literature that always inspires me... the desire to be out of doors...
